Recovery Tap for Drill Rod and Casing Pipe

Fishing tools are used for recovery of drill pipe, casing when the accidents happen during drilling.        
 

The recovery bell tap must have a working range (ex.: small diameter 43mm / big diameter 74mm) which covers the O.D. of the rod (ex. : 60mm). Also, the O.D. of the bell tap should be the largest available but should not exceed the hole diameter. The type of thread connection chosen should be the same as that of the fishing rod string.

Recovery taps are used for recovery of drill pipe, casing when the accidents happen during drilling.

Fishing tools

This products is commonly know as fishing tools/recovery taps by drilling crew.

A worn rod or casing is likely to fracture at the thread coupling and the string below the faulty rods or casing will then remain the hole. Fishing tools like bell taps and rod recovery taps are used to recover the broken string. Since the fishing tools have a tapered thread that catches the end of the fractured rod or casing or coupling.

Fishing tools / recovery taps are manufactured in right hand thread as well as left hand thread. Both male and female fishing tool/ recovery taps are manufactured.

Male and female fishing tools/recovery tap have water ways(flutes) on them so that water can reach throughout the length of the fishing tap. We use high quality material and these are hardened for long life.
